School Psychology

School Psychology

The School psychologist is a specialist who provides a variety of psychological services throughout the district that include assessment, consultation, behavioral support counseling, crisis intervention, academic remediation, community outreach, and the development of preventative programs. The School Psychologist plays an integral role in the evaluation of special education students, but also routinely provides support services to all students.

School psychologists help students succeed academically, socially and emotionally.  They collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.

School psychologists are highly trained in both psychology and education. They are certified by the state of Georgia.
