GA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES ISSUES NEW P-EBT SUMMER BENEFITS
On December 20, 2022, the Georgia Department of Human Services’ Division of Family & Children Services began issuing Summer P-EBT. These benefits cover the 2022 summer months for eligible children. Please remember that children are eligible for summer P-EBT if they were enrolled in a K-12 Georgia school and approved as eligible for free or reduced priced lunch through the National School Lunch Program. All eligible children will receive $391 for summer P-EBT. Tattnall County is District Wide CEP so all children K-12 are eligible. If a parent needs to obtain proof of enrollment, that can be done through the Parent Portal at the following link.Parents that have food stamps, but didn’t get a card, can email snap@dhs.ga.gov and provide their children’s names, birthdate, client id and the school they attend, and they can look them up in the data base. It may take up to 7-10 days before parents get a response from them, but they will look in it.Please note that the P-EBT hotline with the Department of Health and Human Services is active. Want free or affordable internet access? Tattnall County Public Schools participate in the School Breakfast Program and the USDA Community Eligibility Provision to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. This participation qualifies each child’s household for a $30 per month credit toward your monthly internet bills.
